H.S. ROUNDUP: Silver Creek gets third win of 2013 in 13-0 victory over Henryville

Four Dragons boot in two goals apiece

SELLERSBURG — The Silver Creek boys’ soccer team collected its third victory of the 2013 season on Monday over visiting Henryville, 13-0.

Four Dragons scored two goals apiece in Gabriel Masso, Alan Cruz, Noah Spencer and Andrew Posante. Also connecting on scores for Silver Creek were Kolton Eddy, Ali Mullah, Daniel Steggeman, Calvin Heck and Nick Cabazas.

Steggeman and Spencer each distributed two assists, while Cruz had one. Dragons’ goalkeeper John Osterhoudt made two saves.

“We came out and jumped on them early. We scored 42 seconds into the game,” Silver Creek coach Colin Bell said. “It was a fun game for the boys because they all got to try different positions out. I was happy to see some of our defenders get some goals.”

Silver Creek (3-1-4) will travel to Scottsburg on Wednesday. Henryville will host Mitchell on Wednesday.
