At Jeffersonville

Singles

    No. 1 — Conner Anderson (C) d. Hunt 6-0, 6-1.

    No. 2 — Peter Golder (C) d. Winchell 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.

    No. 2 — Kayrouz-Kooper Falkenstein (J) d. Alex Sorley-Casey Fellers 6-2, 6-3.

Notes: Jeffersonville is ranked No. 12 in the latest poll; Center Grove is ranked 10th.

Highlights: Canner couldn’t handle the 6-foot-3 Buntin’s serve. “I was very pleased with his play today and for him to handle himself the way he did for his first time playing singles this year was excellent,” Jeff coach Mark Reilley said; Reilly and Coward, who went 21-1 together at No. 2 doubles last year, overpowered Knutson and Thixton, in their first time together in 2013; Kayrouz and Falkenstein haven’t spent much time together either, but, “I think these two will continue to improve as they get more time together as a team,” Reilly said.

Quotes: Reilly — “After losing to seventh-ranked Jasper this last weekend 4-1, I thought it was best to make a couple of changes, and today the match fell right into place against a great team with this line up.”

    Record: Jeffersonville 3-1.
