    Game notes: None of the runs Sharp surrendered were earned due to five Clarksville errors. Six of the Generals’ eight hits came in the final two innings. They left the bases loaded in the seventh with the tying run on deck.

    Clarksville coach Tim Hauber: “It’s pretty disappointing. We’re learning the hard way. We’re paying for it in wins and losses. Hopefully, we can put it together. We’re going to change some things up and try to get something going before the season slips away from us. We can’t go on the way we are.”

    Records: Southwestern 5-3, Clarksville 2-4.

    Meet notes: Brooks broke her own school record in the discus with a throw of 125 feet, 2 inches. Her best distance in the shot put was 41-11.

    Charlestown coach Kim Carroll: “Megan has worked hard throughout the offseason, and it’s paying off for her. She already broke the shot put record and tonight broke the discus. She is improving and working hard to accomplish her goals this season.”

    Next: Charlestown host Pirate Relays, Wednesday.
