SEYMOUR — Clark County went 3-for-3 in sectional championship games on Saturday.
Jeffersonville, Clarksville and Borden all won sectional titles, punching their tickets for regionals next Saturday.
Jeff (23-3) whipped rival New Albany (15-9) for the second time this season, beating the Bulldogs 63-50 for the Class 4A Seymour crown. Jacquari Chandler scored 19 points for the Red Devils, including 11 in the fourth quarter to help the Devils clinch their third crown in four years and their 37th overall.
The Devils will face No. 4 Evansville Harrison (23-1) in the second semifinal at Saturday's Seymour Regional. Harrison defeated Jeff 73-70 on Feb. 3.
Class 2A No. 8 Clarksville (19-5) won its first sectional title since 1986 with a 46-38 victory over Paoli (14-9) at the Class 2A Crawford County Regional. The Generals overcame a 15-12 halftime deficit by outscoring the Rams 16-3 from the free throw line.
The Generals will battle No. 10 Linton-Stockton (21-3) — a surprise 47-40 winner over No. 5 Sullivan — in Saturday's second Southridge Regional semifinal at approximately noon.
Class A No. 10 Borden (21-3) beat Lanesville 59-50 for its second straight sectional title and its fourth in six year. The Braves had four scorers in double-figures, led by Cody Bachman's 18.
The Braves will face Orleans (13-10) in Saturday's first semifinal at the Loogootee Regional. Borden defeated the Bulldogs 37-36 on the road on Jan. 25.
