At Clarksville Little League
Scores: Floyd Central 7, Corydon Central 3; Floyd Central 11, Columbus North 1; Floyd Central 15, Jasper 3; Floyd Central 7, Castle 1.
Tournament notes: Floyd broke open the championship game against Castle with a five-run fourth. All five runs crossed the plate with two outs.
Floyd Central JV coach Dennie Jenkins: “It was great to see the girls play with passion and have fun in the game as they came together to build throughout the day. It’s early in the season and today we were able to learn from our miscues in order to become a better team. I think today the girls learned how much fun it can be to come together as a unit and compete as one. For me as a coach, that’s what it’s all about.”
Record: Floyd Central 5-1.
