H.S. FOOTBALL: WXVW-AM continues Southern Indiana sports coverage

Denison will lead coverage

> SOUTHERN INDIANA — 1450 The Sports Buzz, Southern Indiana’s leader in local sports, will continue to gear up for its coverage of high school sports this fall. The station, which reverted back to its heritage call letters of WXVW-AM over the summer, will broadcast the Main Source Bank Game of the Week during all nine weeks of the regular season, and then follow Clark and Floyd County teams as they advance in the state tournament.

“We can’t wait to provide area fans with top-notch radio coverage of prep sports that we feel hasn’t been offered in many years,” said Matt Denison, who coordinates much of the station’s local sports coverage. “From play-by-play of all the big Friday night battles to our weekly talk show featuring area coaches and athletes, we’re serious about promoting the great tradition of high school sports in this area.”

In addition to title sponsor Main Source Bank, the following businesses and organizations are making this aggressive coverage possible: Bales Auto Mall in Jeffersonville, Zaxby’s, Clark County Sheriff Danny Rodden, Wendy’s restaurants, Walnut Ridge Nursery and Garden Center, Scott Aldridge of Edward Jones, Keen Screen and the News and Tribune.
