Area players to compete in ISCA Showcase

Several area players will be playing in the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association Showcase this weekend in Indianapolis.

Area players participating in the showcase are the following: girls — Tanner Marcum, New Albany, Sr.; Leah Mattingly, Providence, Sr.; Kasey Wallace, Providence, Jr.; Taylor Davis, Jeffersonville, Sr.; Lauren Wyatt, Floyd Central, Jr.; boys — Pierce Crawley, Providence, Sr.

New Albany ace signs with Louisville

New Albany High School senior Josh Rogers signed a national letter of intent to play baseball at the University of Louisville for the 2014 season on Friday.

The 6-foot-4 left-handed pitcher has compiled a 24-2 record during his high school career.
