PORTLAND — For Floyds Knobs, it turned from a Hollywood ending to a heartbreaking one in a matter of minutes Sunday, as the Central Region champs ended pool play at the Little League Softball World Series with with a 6-4 loss to the Southwest champs out of Waco, Texas.

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Floyds Knobs All-Stars were unfazed by the big stage Wednesday afternoon, opening the Little League Softball World Series with a 10-0 runaway victory over the Latin American team out of Puerto Rico.

LIVERMORE, Calif. — Canada’s Xavier Cere held Highlander Youth Recreation to two hits Thursday and helped Mirabel, Quebec, to a 6-0 victory in the Little League Intermediate World Series in Livermore, Calif.

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — After suffering its first loss of the postseason Wednesday afternoon, Highlander Youth Recreation fought back to beat the same Concordia (Mo.) team 6-2 in the evening to clinch a spot in the Little League World Series in Livermore, California.
