Big Four Bridge to open at 2 p.m. today

JEFFERSONVILLE — The Indiana ramp of the Big Four Bridge will open at 2 p.m. today, May 20, according to the office of Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer.

The opening of the Indiana side of the bridge will mark the first time pedestrians and bikers will be able to go to and from Jeffersonville on the rehabbed bridge. The Louisville ramp and the bridge's deck opened in February 2013.

Multi-platinum CMA and ACM award winning artist Tracy Lawrence capped off the "Jeffersonville Goes Country" concert series at the Jeffersonville Riverstage Saturday night. A near capacity crowd enjoyed listening to Lawrence croon many of his 18 number one singles. The event was free of charge and also included Jeni Carr and TwangTown and Willow Creek Friday night as well as Olivia Henken and The Cadillac Three Saturday.
