5 minutes for $500

Event encourages entrepreneurship

JEFFERSONVILLE — Five local teams and individuals were given five minutes to pitch their ideas, products and services to a panel of judges in competition for a $500 grand prize on Wednesday at the 5 Across startup pitch event at Velocity in Jeffersonville. Zack Pennington of Louisville took home the prize for his company US Chia, which produces chia seeds for equine dietary use. See related photos.
