NEW ALBANY — Floyd County 4-H Schedule

The 2013 Floyd County 4-H Fair will be held from July 8-13 at Floyd County 4-H Fairgrounds, 2818 Green Valley Road, New Albany. Here is the schedule of events:

• Newlin Hall Hours, 6 to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, noon to 9 p.m. Saturday

• Vendor Booths, 6 to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday

• New Albany Lions Concessions, 6 to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday; noon to 10 p.m. Saturday

MONDAY, JULY 8

8 to 11 a.m. — Open Class Check-In

10 a.m. to end — 4-H Poultry Show [small animal barn]

4:30 p.m. to end — Llama and Alpaca Showmanship Show [beef arena]

6 to 10 p.m. — Farmers’ Market

6 to 8 p.m. — Cross Fit Show [Shelter]

6 p.m. to end — Dessert Auction [main stage]

6 to 8 p.m. _ Make-U-Over Fair Edition

7 p.m. to end — Queen Contest; intermission: 4-H Fashion Review, barbecue Eating Contest [Main Stage]

TUESDAY, JULY 9

10 a.m. to End — 4-H Swine Show [Swine Barn]

6 p.m. to End — Kids Pedal Tractor Pull [shelter]

6 p.m. to End — 4-H Goat and Sheep Show [swine barn]

6 to 8 p.m. — Make-U-Over Fair Edition

6 to 10 p.m. — Monster Truck Rides [Arena]

6 to 10 p.m. — Farmers Market

6 to 10 p.m. — Car Show

7 to 8 p.m. — FairCon-Anime/Comics Cosplay Contest

7 p.m. to End — Fiddle Contest

7 p.m. to End — 4-H Horse and Pony Show

8 to 10 p.m. — FairCon-Anime/Comics Maid Cafe

WEDNESDAY, JULY 10 [Mayor’s Night At Fair]

10 a.m. to End — 4-H Rabbit Show

2 p.m. to End — 4-H Beef Show

5 to 10 p.m. — Mechanical Bull

6 to 10 p.m. — Monster Truck Rides

5 to 9 p.m. — Video Game Competition

6 to End — 4-H Horse and Pony Awards

6 to 8 p.m. — Make-U-Over Fair Edition

6 to 10 p.m. — Farmers Market

7 to 8 p.m. — Double H Square Dancers

7 p.m. to End — 4-H Horse and Pony Exhibition Show

Students of the Renaissance Academy's inaugural freshman class placed the final piece of the puzzle on a presentation board at the opening ceremony in Clarksville Tuesday morning. The students, or learners as termed by the RA, will play an integral role in their own education, using hands-on and project based curriculum to learn new information.
