A berry good time

Annual Strawberry Festival delights the masses

FLOYDS KNOBS — The St. John Starlight Strawberry Festival, which began in 1979 as a fundraiser for St. John Starlight Catholic Parish, kicked off the Catholic Parish picnic season on Saturday. The event included The Run for the Berries, a 3.1 miles run/walk; the famous “build your own strawberry shortcake station;” food booths; chicken and ham dinner; children’s activities; games of chance; arts and crafts booths; entertainment; Little Miss and Mister Shortcake contest; soap box derby; a beer and wine tent; and more.
