Floyd County 4-H Fair starts Monday

NEW ALBANY — Volunteers worked to get the Floyd County 4-H Fairgrounds in tip-top shape for next week's fair, including putng a fresh coat of paint on posts for the open class arts and crafts display inside Newlin Hall. See related photos.

Midway opens at 6 p.m., Monday-Friday

Newlin Hall Hours: 4-9 p.m., Monday-Friday; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday

Vendor Booths: 6-10 p.m., Monday-Friday; 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday

July 7

8-10 a.m. — Open class check-in

8-10 a.m. — 4-H perishable project check-in and judging

10 a.m.-End — 4-H poultry show [small animal barn]

4 p.m.-End — 4-H goat and sheep show [swine barn]

6 p.m.-End — Pony rides [small fee]

Multiple shows — Disc-Connected Canines

6 p.m.-End — Dessert auction

6-8 p.m. — Make-u-over Fair Edition [Daily makeovers by local salons]

10 a.m.-End — 4-H swine show [swine barn]

4:30 p.m.-End — 4-H llama and alpaca showmanship show [beef arena]

6-10 p.m. — Mechanical bull [ride fee]

6-10 p.m. — Monster truck rides [arena, ride fee]

6 p.m.-End — Pony rides

Multiple shows — Disc -Connected Canines

7-8 p.m. — FairCon-Anime/Comics Cosplay Contest [main stage, entry fee]

7 p.m.-End — Fiddle contest [main stage, entry fee]
