JEFFERSONVILLE — On Thursday, Aug. 17, ALDI will reopen its Jeffersonville store at 3131 E. 10th St. to provide customers with a more modern and convenient shopping experience.

This remodel is part of the company’s nationwide $1.6 billion store remodel plan and over $9 million investment to remodel six stores in Louisville and the surrounding area by 2019.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony and official grand reopening will take place at 8:25 a.m. followed by Golden Ticket giveaway, eco-friendly bag distribution, Produce for a Year sweepstakes and product sampling.

The company’s nationwide plan to remodel and expand more than 1,300 U.S. stores by 2020 is ongoing. In February, ALDI announced an aggressive $1.6 billion investment in its stores across the country, with over $9 million dedicated to enhancing stores in Louisville.

ALDI intends to remodel six stores in Louisville and the surrounding metropolitan area which included stores in Jeff and New Albany, with a goal of completing all remodels by 2019.

The new ALDI store look delivers on its customers’ desire for a modern and convenient shopping experience with a focus on fresh items, including more robust produce, dairy and bakery sections. Remodeled stores will also feature a modern design, open ceilings, natural lighting and environmentally-friendly building materials – such as recycled materials, energy-saving refrigeration and LED lighting.

“It has been a pleasure to serve the Louisville community for 25 years, and we’re pleased to invest over $9 million in updating our Louisville stores to better serve our existing and new customers,” said Laura Bauer, Greenwood, division vice president for ALDI in news release.

“We know there’s only one way to attract and keep fans: continually providing the highest-quality products, while staying true to what our competitors can’t match – everyday low prices.”
