The polls will open for Hoosiers to cast their vote in Tuesday’s primary election at 6 a.m. and the polls will remain open until 6 p.m.

For those planning to head to the polls, don’t forget a valid Indiana or government ID that has a photo, displays the voter’s name and is a current ID — or has expired no earlier than the last general election. Also, voters will not be allowed into the polling location wearing visible political campaign paraphernalia.

Voters looking for a sample ballot and candidate listings can visit the state’s website at www.IndianaVoters.com. For individual assistance voters can call 1-866-461-8683. Hoosiers will also be able to locate their polling location on the website.

Clark County will also have a list of the candidates and sample ballots on its website www.co.clark.in.us; the Clark County voter registration office can be contacted at 812-285-6329; or by visiting the first floor of the Clark County Government Building, 501 E. Court Ave., room 131 in Jeffersonville. The voter registration office, which will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on election day, will also be able to help individuals locate their polling location.

The Floyd County Clerk’s office also has sample ballots, candidate listings and can help individuals find their polling location. For more information for those voting in Floyd County visit the clerk’s website www.floydcounty.in.gov/resident/electioninfo-current.htm; by calling 812-948-5415 or 812-948-5417; or by visiting the clerk’s office, which will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 311 Hauss Square, Room 235 in New Albany.

All other city and county offices will be closed election day.
