SMK hosting KnobsFest
St. Mary of the Knobs first-ever KnobsFest will be from noon to midnight Saturday at the church.
This event will feature chicken or ham dinners, booths will include 30 quilts, 20 capital prizes totaling $11,150, cakes, candy, plants, pull tabs, fruit baskets and a general store. There will also be Bingo, crafts, a kids zone and live entertainment all day.
The Pub Pavilion will have beer and wine, Texas Hold ‘Em, showdown and more.
End the night with a dance from 9 p.m. to midnight, $8 per person, featuring the Endless Summer band from Indianapolis.

Entertainment coming downtown
Tonight, Thumper and the Plaid Rabbits with Po’ Brothers will perform at RiverStage in Jeffersonville. The event starts at 7 p.m. and finishes at 10.
RiverStage is located at the foot of the Overlook at Spring Street and Riverside Drive.
Also, “Shrek Forever After” will be shown on the big screen starting at 7 p.m. Saturday at RiverStage.
Concerts in the Park also is on tap for tonight, featuring June Kelley Roy and Top Notch. The music begins at 7:30 at Warder Park along Court Avenue.

Church hosting yard sale
Grace Family Worship Center, 202 E. Maple St., Jeffersonville, will sponsor an all-you-can eat pancake breakfast and yard sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Benefit to help mother
A benefit concert for Debbie Graham-Lewis will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday at Kingfish on the River, 601 W. Riverside Drive., Jeffersonville.
No cover will be charged and donations are welcome.
Graham-Lewis is a local mother of three who lost both of her hands to cancer complications.
Flea market, bake sale is Saturday
Georgetown Lions Club’s second-annual flea market and bake sale will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Copperfield Commons, Ind. 64, Georgetown.
Free eye screenings will be offered.
Crusade Barnyard Dash is Saturday
The ninth-annual Crusade Barnyard Dash 10K Run/5K Walk/Kids’ Runs will take place Saturday at Joe Huber’s Family Farm & Restaurant in Starlight.
The 10K run and the 5K walk will officially start at 8 a.m. The quarter-mile youth run (ages 10 and under) will begin at 9:30, and the one-mile youth runs (ages 13 and under) will start at 9:40 a.m. Registration and check-in will be held from 6:30-7:50 a.m.
The pre-registered entry fee is $20 through today. The race day entry fee is $25, while the kids’ entry fee is $8. Proceeds for this event will go to the WHAS Crusade for Children.
Spectators are invited to attend. This race is the second leg of Fred Geswein’s 27th annual Runner-of-the-Year Racing Series.

Car show will help Shop with a Cop
The New Albany Police, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 99, will sponsor a Shop with A Cop, Cops and Kids Car and Motorcycle Show on Saturday at Joe Huber Family Farm, 2421 Engle Road, Starlight.
Registration will be from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Preregistration is $12 and registration day of show is $15.

The New Washington Alumni Association annual banquet will be June 25 in the James Matthews Gymnasium at New Washington High School, 226 Ind. 62, New Washington. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the banquet to begin at 7 p.m.

Cemetery workshops rescheduled
Due to the large amount of rain the area received during the month of April, upcoming cemetery workshops have been rescheduled for June.
Members of the Floyd County Cemetery Restoration Team will be demonstrating the proper techniques to restore, repair and clean grave stones.
The workshops are as follows:
• 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday — Scott Cemetery off Hausfeldt Lane.
• 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. June 18 — Scott Cemetery off Hausfeldt Lane.
