CLARKSVILLE — Police and school officials responded to a threat made against Clarksville Middle School on Thursday afternoon.

The Clarksville Police Department was immediately notified and on the premises within three minutes, according to a statement from Clarksville Community Schools.

Police moved students to an area of safety while a soft sweep was done by search dogs. No threats were discovered and CMS was given the “all clear.”

The investigation went smoothly and followed the guidelines set by the corporation, according to Clarksville Police Chief Mark Palmer.

CPD continues to investigate the situation and is confident it will find the person responsible for the threat.
