First snowfall of 2021

The American flag at Big 4 Station Park in Jeffersonville waved lazily Friday morning, creating a brilliant contrast to the leafless, snow-covered trees around the area. The snow that fell overnight was the first measurable snowfall of the season.

Friday morning's snow accumulation was no match for Jeffersonville resident Jeff Link. A former resident of Wheaton, Illinois, Link is no stranger to heavy snowfalls. He took the light covering on his car in stride, saying, “I miss this.”

Matt Parrella, an employee of A1 Porta Potty, used a leaf blower to clear sidewalks of snow Friday morning. The snow that fell overnight Thursday, left little accumulation.

Snow-covered cars line Pearl Street in Jeffersonville Friday morning. Residents of the area awakened to the season’s first snowfall with only a light covering on streets, yards and vehicles.
