After 54 years in Kentucky and Indiana, the Furniture Liquidators brand is being retired. A retailer of home furnishings and bedding in the greater Louisville, Ky., area since 1965, the company, along with Mattress and More, was acquired by FFO Home in February 2018. Plans are to rebrand all 13 Furniture Liquidator stores to FFO Homes by November.

John L. Otter will be retiring as president and CEO. Furniture Liquidators will start a series of total liquidation events as a thank you to customers in the Kentuckiana market and to make room for the new inventory coming from FFO Home.

Larry Zigerelli, president/CEO of FFO Home, began leading the company in 2012. Since then FFO Home has opened 24 stores and moved its corporate office, distribution center and warehouses to Fort Smith, Ark., from Muldrow, Okla.

FFO Home opened its first store (then known as Furniture Factory Outlet) in Fort Smith in 1984, and has grown to 51 stores in seven states. After the rebrand, FFO Home will have 64 stores under the brand and 15 Mattress and More locations in nine states.
