CRAWFORD COUNTY — Indiana conservation officers are investigating an off-road vehicle crash in Crawford County in which a Jeffersonville man died Tuesday.
George Williams, 80, of Jeffersonville, was traveling eastbound in a Bush Hog 440 side-by-side-style ORV on Kaiser Road around 11 a.m. Tuesday. Williams attempted to cross Ind. 64 and was struck by a Dodge Caravan traveling northbound, according to a news release from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
The driver of the Dodge Caravan told police he tried to avoid the crash, but was unsuccessful. He was taken to Jasper Memorial Hospital with leg pain.
