CLARK COUNTY — Crews will be cleaning bridge joints on the Lewis and Clark Bridge between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 10.
The work will involve a moving operation in both directions and on both sides of the road, one lane at a time. All work will take place between Mile Markers 37.8 and 38.8 on Ky. 841. Motorists are reminded to move over and slow down over for maintenance vehicles.
Roadway sweeping operations near the bridge will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 11, and conclude by 3 p.m. The work will be a moving operation to sweep shoulders on both sides of the road in both directions.
Bridge sweeping operations will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday and conclude by 6 a.m. Friday. Bridge sweeping will be a moving operation on both sides of the road in both directions to remove dirt and debris. All work will be performed between Mile Marker 8.78 on Ind. 265 and Mile Marker 37.8 on Ky. 841.
Single lanes on the bridge will be closed in either direction from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 13, and Sunday, July 14, to inspect for deck cracks.
Motorists are reminded to give maintenance workers a break and slow down in work zones for safety sake.
