LOUISVILLE — A Louisville Metro Police Department officer was arrested in Clark County, newsgathering partners WAVE 3 News reported.
Fifth Division officer Aaron Jaggers was charged with domestic battery by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, according to LMPD.
An arrest report states Jaggers and a woman left a bar in an Uber early Sunday when the woman became upset over text messages. The woman told the Uber driver to drop her off at a gas station and from there she got another Uber home. When Jaggers came to her home she asked to see his phone. She said he reached into his pocket and when he pulled out his hand it was empty.
The woman told police she went to reach for his phone and Jaggers pushed her into a column and she slapped him. Jaggers told police she slapped him and he pushed her to get her off of him.
Jaggers has been placed on administrative leave. He has been employed by LMPD since June 2016.
