No injuries reported in Borden fire

No injuries were reported after a fire in Borden Monday afternoon. Brian Groves, assistant chief for Greenville Fire Protection District, said the fire off Chapel Hill Road, near Navilleton Road, started when the homeowner was working on a car that sparked, lighting the car and brush surrounding it on fire. The fire spread to a second car as well as a garage. Groves said the department was assisted by the Lafayette and Georgetown fire departments and they put out the fire in less than 10 minutes.
