Pack the Bus-1 (copy)

A Clarksville Community Schools bus is on site at One Vision Federal Credit Union's branch on Lewis and Clark Parkway during the 2018 Pack the Bus event. This year's event is underway, with Hope Southern Indiana leading the effort to collect donations of school supplies for students in need for the upcoming year.

SOUTHERN INDIANA — Hope Southern Indiana is calling out to neighbors, friends and family to “Pack the Bus 2019-2020."

The first day of the 2019-2020 school year for NAFCS is July 29. Now, in its ninth year, this collaboration works together to provide basic school supplies for New Albany Floyd County Schools students who are eligible for the federal free lunch program.

There are families in the community who can't afford basic school supplies for their children and teens. Let’s provide these kids the school supplies necessary to achieve their goals and empower them to learn. Together, we can make a difference.

This collaboration has the opportunity to provide supplies for more than 2,500 students for the 2019-2020 school year. Contributions come from churches, organizations, civic groups, businesses and individuals.

How can you help? Enlist your church, business, organization, group or family to sponsor a school supply drive. Make a tax-deductible cash donation that will be used to purchase supplies.

Donations of supplies can be dropped off at any of our collection sites through Friday, June 29. Financial contributions can be made by mail, online at www.hopesi.org, or personal delivery to: Hope Southern Indiana, Brown Starks Neighborhood Place, 1200 Bono Road, New Albany, IN 47150. Please indicate that it is for "Pack the Bus."
