Borden Valley Days 2

John Zelitvez revs up, getting some air, as he competes in the tractor pull at the Borden Valley Days Saturday. Zelitvez drove “Bad Boys II” in the Open Class competition, winning the 3rd place trophy, pulling 5,200 pounds on the sled.

Where: Borden Park

New this year will be horse and pony rides, face painting, pickle ball and a expanded auction. Vendor booths, kids games, 5K walk/run, bingo, and chainsaw carving, along with car show, live music and food provide something for all ages to enjoy. Free special music on Saturday include Lacefield & James opening at 5:30 p.m., followed by The Devonshires, Legends in Rock, 7 p.m.


What: Coffin Races/Literally, A Haunted House

Join the ghosts and ghouls of the Culbertson Mansion State Historic Site and race your coffin down the New Albany riverfront. The team that crosses the finish line with the fastest time wines! After the race, be sure to visit the Culbertson Mansion’s Dark Parlour and Literally, a Haunted House, both of which open at 7 p.m.

Celebrate and support the historical, cultural and scientific heritage of the Falls of the Ohio State Park and Interpretive Center. Enjoy guided fossil bed hikes, catered dinner overlooking the river, wine, bourbon and beer tasting and a silent auction. Live music from 6-10 p.m. featuring Jamey Aebersold and Caribou.
