Letters to the Editor

New Albany Council candidate Griffith a servant-leader

Dear Editor and District 1 Neighbors,

Recently I had the opportunity to sit down with a fellow New Albany resident, Stefanie Griffith, and listen to her desire to be the citizens neighborhood advocate as our representative for District 1 Council elected member. I was refreshed by her desire to truly serve the District 1 community.

Stefanie Griffith is embodied in the attitude of civic duty and servitude. Her moral compass leads her in her values of honesty, compassion and a dedicated work ethic in all she does. Her love for the city of New Albany rings loud. Her desire to see that each citizen of New Albany can be proud of the city she loves, and take responsibility individually for the neighborhoods they call home, rings with an astounding bell toll that never skips a beat.

She wants to be District 1’s voice, our neighborhood advocate, and I could not be happier to know she wants to serve in this capacity.

Stefanie has organized a cleanup in the area of West Market, West 4th through West 10th, on Saturday, April 20, in conjunction with the downtown cleanup. Participants are welcome to help pick up trash and spruce the area and are meeting at Daisy’s Restaurant on West Main at 8 a.m. through noon. This cleanup is the first of several planned for District 1. I hope to see my District 1 neighbors there; together we are better and can accomplish much. Come and join in!
