Columnist blinded by hatred of Trump
Not sure Kelly Hawes made a successful argument in his Monday column in the News & Tribune. At all.
Front and center in his piece was the quote from Ellen Weintraub, Chair of the Federal Election: “Let me make something 100 percent clear to the American public and anyone running for public office. It is illegal for any person to solicit, accept, or receive anything of value from a foreign national in connection with a U.S. election.”
This a statement coming from a person appointed by former President Obama. Yikes!
Well, we already know that Hillary Clinton paid Christopher Steele, former British MI6 agent, for the Steele Dossier with help from Russian operatives. The payment for those services was attempted to be hidden under campaign legal fees. That is a known fact. Looks like Kelly Hawes and Ellen Weintraub are both blinded by their hate of Donald Trump to the point that they do not hear themselves speak or write. It is the only reason they have not called for the indictment of Hillary Clinton for soliciting, accepting and receiving anything of value from a foreign national in connection with a U.S. election. Time for them both to walk the walk if they are going to talk the talk.
They are pointing out the sawdust in Trump’s eye and failing to see the 2x4 in theirs.
