JEFFERSONVILLE — The New Albany 12U All-Star team wrapped up a perfect run through District 5 pool play in style Wednesday night.

Four pitchers — Tate Hickman, Sean Rose, Kaleb Elliott and Rylan Schrink — combined for a no-hitter in a 13-0 4-inning win over Charlestown at Jeff/GRC Little League. That quartet also combined for 10 strikeouts (Hickman and Elliott had three apiece, while Rose and Schrink had two each). The only thing keeping New Albany from a perfect game was a first-inning walk.

Those four pitchers had plenty of help at the plate as New Albany pounded out 13 hits, including six for extra bases. Hickman led the way, going 2-for-4 with a double, home run, two RBIs and two runs scored. Jordan Treat and Blaine Beckort added two hits apiece, while Kadin Bush had a homer and three RBIs and Tyler Hubbard recorded a home run and two RBIs.

New Albany (4-0) will be the No. 1 seed in the single-elimination tournament that begins Friday. It will face Jeff/GRC (1-3) at 5:30 p.m. in the first semifinal. Second-seeded Silver Creek (3-1) will meet HYR (2-2) at 8 p.m. in the second semi. The championship is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday night.

Silver Creek wrapped up pool play with a 11-3 win over Jeff/GRC on Wednesday night.

Preston Burton led Silver Creek at the plate with a triple and a home run while Jackson Lewis added a single and a triple.

On the final night of 10U pool play, Charlestown clipped Clarksville 20-6 while New Albany shutout Jeff/GRC 17-0 in three innings.
