Following a quality relief outing Friday, former New Albany and University of Louisville standout Josh Rogers is headed to the starting rotation for the Baltimore Orioles.
Rogers, 24, allowed just two runs to the Boston Red Sox in 4 1/3 innings of relief. Rogers has struggled to produce quality results at Triple-A Norfolk this season, with a 8.51 ERA in 11 starts. Rogers had a 2.08 ERA in five starts for Norfolk in 2018.
The left-hander looks to build off the quality outing in a start in Oakland on Wednesday.
